Terms of use

Last updated 25 October 2026

These terms apply when you use savefirsthome.org, a CSR initiative run by DotandDash Technologies. By using the site, you agree to them. If something here isn’t clear, write to [email protected].

Using the site

  • Use the site lawfully and kindly, and don’t try to break it, overload it or send spam through its forms.
  • Give true details in forms. Don’t sign up other people without their permission.
  • Our forms are for people aged 18 and over; children can take part through a parent, guardian or school.

Pledges

The Earth pledge is a personal commitment you make to yourself and the planet. It is not a contract and is not legally binding. Your certificate is yours to share.

Our content

The words and data on this site are free to share, quote and translate, as long as you credit Save First Home (savefirsthome.org) and don’t change the meaning. Our name, logo and artwork may not be used in a way that suggests we endorse something without asking us first. Some articles use facts from other organisations; their own terms apply to their material.

Stories and photos you send us

  • You confirm that the story and photos are yours, or that you have permission to share them, and that everyone recognisable in them agreed (for children, their parent or guardian).
  • You allow us to publish them on our website and channels, and to shorten, edit for clarity or translate them, with credit to you if you wish.
  • We may decline to publish anything, and we will remove your story if you ask.

Drives and events

You take part in drives at your own risk. Please follow the organisers’ safety instructions and our community guidelines, wear suitable clothing, and look after your own health. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Drives may be changed or cancelled, for example because of weather; we will try to let everyone who signed up know.

No warranty

We work hard to keep our information accurate and to cite our sources, but the site is provided “as is”. Our guides are general information, not professional advice. Check local rules (for example your municipality’s waste rules) before you act.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

Links to other sites

We link to other websites, such as the sources for our facts. We aren’t responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts at [City]. Please write to us first: most things can be sorted out with a conversation.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions: [email protected].
