Who we are, how it works, and what happens to your data.
What is Save First Home?
Save First Home is a movement to look after our first home, the Earth. We share clear, India-first guides with real sources, invite people to make simple promises (the Earth pledge), and organise drives like tree planting, clean-ups and e-waste collection, so that small everyday actions add up.
Who runs it?
Save First Home is a CSR (corporate social responsibility) initiative by DotandDash Technologies. A small team runs it, with volunteers who write, translate and organise drives. You can reach us any time at [email protected].
Does it cost anything to join?
No. Taking the pledge, reading our guides, joining a drive and volunteering are all free. Some drives may ask you to bring your own water bottle or gloves, and the drive page will say so.
Do you accept donations?
Not yet. We will only accept donations after we register a non-profit organisation that can issue 80G tax receipts, and we will announce it clearly on this website. Until then, please never pay anyone who asks for money in our name, and tell us at [email protected] if someone does.
What happens to the details I give when I pledge?
We use your first name and city to make your certificate and to count pledges. Your email, if you give it, is used only for a gentle monthly reminder and updates, and is never shown or shared. Your name and city appear on the public pledge wall only if you tick that box. To see, correct or delete your details, write to [email protected]. The privacy policy has the full details.
Can my school, housing society or company partner with you?
Yes, please. Schools can run pledge and tree-care activities with their students, housing societies can host composting and clean-up drives, and companies can sponsor drives or run employee volunteering days. Send us a note through the Partners page or at [email protected], and we’ll plan it together.
How can I join or organise a drive in my city?
Upcoming drives are listed on the Drives & events page, where you can say you’re coming in a minute. If there’s nothing near you yet, sign up as a volunteer and mention that you’d like to organise one: we’ll help with planning, safety and spreading the word.
Why is the site in English and Hindi?
Looking after the Earth is for everyone, so we want people to read about it in the language they’re most comfortable with. We started with English and Hindi, and we plan to add more Indian languages. If you can help translate, we’d love to hear from you.
